Doin’ it in the Park is the annual open-air African Hip Hop festival programmed by Africanhiphop.com. Every year around August, an open air space in Amsterdam hosts a superb selection of international and local artists representing the diaspora African hip hop scene as it’s taking the world by storm. From Blitz the Ambassador to Baloji, Fredy Massamba to Salah Edin and Pan Afrikanz to Secousse, they have all played Doin’ it in the Park. Between 2009 and 2011, Doin’ it in the Park took place in the newly discovered city garden of Tolhuistuin.
