In the space of two weeks, Mokobe released two new music videos: ‘Beyonce Coulibaly’ and ‘Phenomenal’. The French-Malian artist must have been planning his vacation while making sure that those left behind have some entertainment on their hands (in reality, Mokobe has been touring in the past weeks, no sleep yet).
The song ‘Beyonce Coulibaly’ may not have been the most outstanding track on Mokobe’s solo debut ‘Mon Afrique’ (2007) but the music video is something else! Hopefully it will also inspire other artists to put some humour in their videos. This one speaks for itself, even if you don’t speak French.

Then there’s ‘Phenomenal’ by dj Kitoko (resident at Paris’ African club Alizé ) which features both Mokobe and Big Ali, an American emcee known from AV8 who’s now big in France (as in: Bob Sinclair collabo), so big in fact that he has two Myspace pages for himself.
